  1. So even though it was negative last year, this is probably still my original diagnoses from when I was 19, and not something new and rising?
  2. I’ve definitely been super stressed lately, more than I have in a really, really long time.
  3. So can the levels go back down if I’m calm??
  4. So. Long story, kind of. When I was 19, I was told I had hsv1, but never had any outbreaks, so I never knew what it meant or where it could be. Mad the years have gone by, I can think of two times, in the past two years, where what I thought was a zit on my lip, was probably a cold sore... they sucked and would last about a week. Weren’t too painful, but definitely not pretty. My question is this. I was diagnosed at 19, but when I had labs ran last year in July, it all came back negative, both 1 and 2. This year, I got tested in September, and it was positive for hsv1 at 3.2 value. And I just got tested yesterday, and now it’s at 7.8. I don’t know what the value was when I was 19... but why would it be negative last year, positive this year, and climbing in value in two months? Was the diagnosis at 19 maybe false and I never had it, until recently? Could the values be climbing right now from high stress? Do the values go up and down?? Does this mean I could have an OB? And does the mild sore I explained on my lip sound like it was an OB?
  5. I do hear it does get better, hang in there! You said your pcr came back positive, what did they swab? A sore? And also, you said you weren’t feeling well after sex, uti symptoms? Or other symptoms?
  6. Just curious, how were you diagnosed? Hsv1 or hsv2? Did you get a sore/sores, or other symptoms, or was it by luck that you got a blood test? Were you diagnosed by blood test or swab? Did you find out you were exposed and go get tested, or just randomly get tested to know? Just curious!
  7. It could be possible that they have her hsv1 on their genitals. Herpes is herpes when it comes to the genital region, wether it’s hsv1 or hsv2.
  8. I just need to vent it out for a few. I’m going in, this Friday, for 7 week post exposure blood work. I know something is wrong with my body, and it’s just a matter of time until it shows up in my labs. The last 7 weeks have been absolutely awful, I am not one that waits patiently. It’s consumed me. Mostly, I miss my vagina feeling like normal. All the random aches and pains have me so stressed out, all the time. If it wasn’t so uncomfortable down there, I feel like I would be a lot better, mentally, while waiting, but it doesn’t feel good. Doesn’t help that I have had a back to back BV infection the last month either. While I haven’t had any lesions, I’ve had an achey right inner thigh, and a spot on the front of my downstairs area, that is tender if pressed, and not seeming to get any better after over a weeks time. Bla. Just Bla. I cried today, for the first time in a few weeks. I feel like such a mess. I can’t concentrate on anything, anymore. It’s just Bla. My my heart hurts and I can’t stop with the woe is me, right now. Anybody out there? Could use some back and forth chatter.
  9. I would reply, but I’m new to all of this, still waiting on my lab work to come back. At 6 weeks post exposure at the moment, so it’s too soon for me. But please know, I read your post, and while I can’t give any advice, I’m here if you need to vent any more. It’s lonely, being scared. I do have HSV1, but it’s not genital, and I’ve only ever had one small bump on my lip, that I know of. I would say, it’s most likely not all over your body, but at the same time, I can’t guarantee that for you. I think paranoia gets the worst of anyone that’s worried. Go in to your doctor and have them swab anything you’re concerned of, as soon as it pops up. If you’re looking for a lab result, then quit taking the Valtrex, as it suppresses the blood work and won’t give a accurate value.
  10. I don’t think anybody has the same amount of outbreaks... that being said though, I have heard the first year tends to be when you’ll have the most, and that it seems to calm down the longer your body gets used to the virus. But I’m not a professional. Just my two cents, from lots and lots of research, google, and reading these forums.
  11. Curious to see how he takes it, keep us posted! I pray that he is kind, and maybe something positive will come out of this, especially if you’re into him!
  12. Nobody will think of you differently, if you’re confusing in people that love and care about you. And I’ll also add, that you would be surprised, as to who you know that may have it too! Take comfort in talking with the people close in your life, it truly helps to have the support.
  13. I’ve been living the same life’s. I’ve been to my doctors probably once a week for the last 6 weeks. Trying to refrain from going in for another two weeks, and test lab work at 8 weeks. Part of me wants to go today to get one at 6 weeks... so hard to not go in and get tested again. I feel like it’s a waiting game until my lab work turns positive for hsv2.
  14. Which type do you have? How did you get diagnosed?
  15. And then they just kind of go away, right? Within a day or so? Is it your OB? Or do you think it’s something different?
  16. These haven’t because they go so quick and never do anything but be red little spots, almost like freckles. I’ve had a couple things swabbed, but they all came back negative, and my last set of labs were done at 4 weeks, so while negative, there hasn’t been much time. I do seem to have nerve pain constantly in my thigh area, not sure if it’s actually related, or all in my head though.
  17. They’re very small, and on my thigh. They’re not raised, just flat red spots. They seem to come and go, within a day or so, but they make me wonder what they are... they may look redder, as well, as I took the picture with flash to make sure they were visible. I know I’ve been paying attention to every single bump and spot down there, so maybe this is normal, follicle related or something, and I’m just being over observant, but I figure I’d ask for opinions. Hoping they disappear again tomorrow, but if they don’t, I will go in and have them looked at. Still unsure of my status, blood work and swabs have all been negative, 6 weeks now, post exposure. Sorry to always ask opinions over every single little thing, I’m just very scared and worried. It helps me to post here, and converse with others, whom can relate. Appreciate any replies!
  18. Just curious, did you get your swabs back, how did they turn out for you?
  19. Just curious. How did you find out you had H? Did you get symptoms, did you not have symptoms? Random lab work? If you know when you were exposed, how long did it take before symptoms arose, and what were they? Meant to hear your stories.
  20. I feel like we attach pics and they all get removed, because I never see the pictures attached to anything?
  21. This morning I noticed I have a pain in the upper side of my buttox. It feels like a bruise, but there is no bruise. It’s not radiating, just hurts if I push on it. Does this sound like a symptom? Or could it just be that I slept funny??
  22. Also, I know general rule of thumb is 12-14 weeks, because it takes time for antibodies to form, but STDcheck.com says 4-6 weeks. Just hoping maybe I can breath a little easier right now, but guessing not...
