  1. I just read that viral shedding does not occur in thick skin areas such as abdomen, thighs, buttocks etc....does anyone know if this is true?
  2. Are these shedding rates while on anti viral or off....just curious
  3. Ok, I found your story and have read everything!
  4. In my case, condoms and now valtrex seem to keep my 30 years of having hv2 and not passing it on a reality. Can't help but wonder though how accurate the valtrex viral spread studies are since they are obviously making money due to sales. Just a thought! Really new to this forum and have loads of questions :)
  5. Adrial.....first off.....thanks for this forum and just being who you are. You have helped thousands!!! I'm hoping my 30 years story and not passing it on will help encourage too. I am curious, Adrial.....in listening to some of your videos. ...it appears that you may not take anti viral. I have a few questions. I've looked around on here and you may have your full on story... if so, please direct me to it. Do you just obstain when you have an ob and carry on afterwards (with sex that is) Did you use condoms regularly in the past? Have you ever passed this on that you are aware of? Hope you don't mind me asking and if the answers are somewhere on here, please direct me. Thanks so much!
  6. The other guy I mentioned previous to my husband. .........at first said "that's something to think about"and he called a few weeks later abd saud he had handled that completely wrong and wanted to give it a go. After we started our relationship (using condoms) his previous partner found out she was pregnant, so he ended up moving closer to his child which was great for him
  7. And....when I told my husband, he said he would be the last person I would ever have to tell. He was so in love lol.....and still is. But.....condoms, anti viral and having had this a long time seems to be in our favor.....yours too! From what I have read, being female helps too......for once lol. Using all these scenarios puts us at like a 1%chance of passing it on. Let me know how it goes.
  8. Actually, just started anti viral.....I'm in my 4th week. We always use a condom....my husband is fine with that, but we have oral sex a lot......a lot and it has not been passed that way either. I understand that that is very rare anyway for h2. I had a relationship prior to this one ( just a few months) and, again, condoms were used and I did not pass it on
  9. Very interesting. Thanks thought.....have had this 30 years and never experienced that before.
  10. Well, didn't ask.... but it all went away so it must have been somewhat of a side effect
  11. Hi and welcome! I too have had this a very long time. Married 20 yrs and have not passed it on. Have you been successful in not passing it on as well? Are you on anti viral? Good luck in the future
  12. I've been taking Valtrex for 3 weeks. Actually starting my fourth now. My first two weeks I had a lot of tingling and just plain weird Sensations in my genital area. No outbreak at all and actually it didn't really feel like one was coming. Has anyone experienced this? It has completely gone now and I'm wondering if that is the Valtrex doing its job initially. Possibly targeting the nerve endings or something. I've read all the side effects and it's not one of them
  13. Guywithhsv.....your post is very well written and I like your coming out style very much. Can I ask if you use condoms or anti viral and if you know whether or not you ever passed it on?
  14. I've read spreading HVS2 to someone's mouth via oral sex is very, very rare. Are there any known cases? What is the percentage chance of it ever happening?
  15. My story is at top of this veterans topic. I've had herpies 2 over 30 years. My husband of 20 years (we lived together a year prior to marriage )always use condoms for intercorse. We do, however, have oral sex most of the time these days and I have never passed it to him. His immune system is compromised due to chemo and he still does not have it after 2 yrs on chemo. So this is a pretty good indication it's not as easy to spread if you are careful. I just started Valtrex three weeks ago to bring my chances to 1% or there abouts. We have sex once per week these days, but we were hot and heavy for years......Prob 3 to 4 times a week. I had a partner prior to him for a few weeks who also used a condoms and he never got it from me. So, be careful and be safe and all should be fine! On the other hand, I do feel it's always good to tell your sleeping partner you have herpies, I also understand some people's reasons for not disclosing it right away.....if that's what you choose, use a condom and take anti viral.
  16. Gosh, I wish there was a way to edit here..I meant we have oral sex most of the time (at least once per week) so that shows its very, very rare to pass on that way
  17. Thanks for the shedding article. I've read so many. We will just keep doing what we do. We have oral sex more than any other type of sex.....and eit her oral or intercorse once per week).......so there is another positive that it is very rare to pass on oraly (HV2 I mean)
  18. Another interesting twist. My husband has stage 4 kidney cancer and is doing pretty darn well. He is on pill form chemo forever. Even at this point when hulls immune system is quite compromised, he still has not gotten herpies from me. So I hope this helps tons of people to know that safe sex can do wonders in preventing spread
  19. I'm thinking shedding for me is pretty few and far between since my husband has never gotten this
  20. Just started 3 weeks ago on valtrex. I imagine it takes effect guickly?? Thanks for responding!!!
  21. I am also interested in knowing if the virus sheds less the longer you have it. Would you happen to know. Thanks
