Herpes and nerve pain

Recommended Posts

You got a doc to see that it is possible from HSV? I can see my skin flare up in the same spot of my only OB from hsv1? It is constant feeling that I feel at this point is never going away.does anyone know if this ever goes away in the shingles or herpes cases.i can deal with a sore but this constant feeling is going to kill me mental and physical.

@getbetter111 @jessikarabbit89 Yup mine is 100% from Herpes. If your doctor doesn't believe it then you really need to either find a doctor who does or visit a pain specialist. Also suppressive therapy has helped me stacked because I was also having back to back fortnightly outbreaks...my body has just copped it from the virus big time unfortunately :(

I rarely drink carbonated drinks. I used to drink wine on a daily basis even with herpes and had no issues for a good while. So im guessing it has to be the chocolate since it seems to only happen after eating it. Chocolate is my weakness lol. I told my dr about PHN and he says it can very well be a result of HSV2. He said it can last anywhere from a few hours to days to months to life. Just depends on the person and how the nerves are affected. I pray to God its a temporary trigger.

You know what...top h experts say this is impossible and hasn't been medically proven. Moreover I have seen countless doctors and they all deny it. From my experience and lately hearing others on the forum, it is obviously not true.

I was told I was delusional to think it was caused by h. It led to part of my depression bc I couldn't convince anyone I was in pain like that.

Yea that seems to be the problem? I would like to get a doc that would treat it the same as shingles PHN. I'm about to be non stop working mine seems to flare up after all day on my feet so I'm freaking out at this point.i can feel it all day just gets worse by night.i can see my skin turn red right in front of my eyes in the same spot as OB the same way I have read that shingles PHN symptoms happen with the burning. I'm just feeling like the rest of you praying I wake up one day very soon and don't feel this anymore.i would not wish this on anyone.

I'm in Australia so all the doctors I've seen were like well if shingles can cause PNH then I don't see why Herpes is any different since they're basically cousin viruses haha @getbetter11 have you actually been to either a pain specialist or an infectious disease specialist? I've seen you posting constantly about this but it isn't going to get better by itself. Taking the two medications + suppressive Valtrex is the only thing that's helped me so far so you're going to have to go and see someone about it. Take print outs about PNH with you. I hope it isn't the chocolate@jessikarabbit89 with Easter coming up ! :)

I get mine in same location as my only Ob. It seems to get worse by night I have the burning skin sensitive to the touch anything I wear most of the time it's very annoying pain others it's it unbearable. The skin gets red and inflamed it all I can feel from the time I wake up till I go to bed this is right on my penis head. If it were any other place I could just deal with it but this is killing me. PHN from HSV it's real and I hope it goes away
