A question for the men -from a woman :-)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I was wondering, if any of you men know -is there a huge difference being HSV2 positive and being uncircumcised? I'm referring to the actual outbreaks and prodome. Since uncircumcised men have the extra "covering" can that make outbreaks more difficult to deal with?

I'm just wondering :-)

Thanks!

Hey! I just so happen to not be circumcised. (Do I get a prize or something?) ;)

And to answer your question, it depends on if the herpes outbreaks happen on or near the head of the penis. My outbreaks happen further down the shaft, so the fact that I'm uncircumcised doesn't have any effect.

No prize for you! Lol I guess I was wondering what if the outbreaks happen under the "covering" ? Wouldn't that be painful? Or would they always happen on the outside? I'm asking because my boyfriend is uncircumsized (he doesn't have HSV2) but I do. We are very sexually active and careful. He has never cared about my status. We are going on a year now of being In a relationship and its wonderful that he hasn't tested positive thus far. We are kind of at the point where we don't want to use condoms anymore so I have all these thoughts now. I still haven't had an actual outbreak. Just a little confused I guess. I don't want him to have pain if we can avoid it.

Are you using Valtrex/acyclovir? That may be an option for you. Or the FC2 female condoms (mixed reviews on them but worth a try as neither of you lose sensation)

And it wouldn't hurt for him so just wash the area thoroughly after sex ... the longer any virus sits the better chance it can get into the system. ;)

I had a girlfriend of mine give oral to her bf and he ended up withs g-hsv1

He said it was the worst weeks of his life cuz he couldnt pull the skin enough to pee properly.

so i mean... it was a week for him... maybe a couple days for others...

and as @WCSDancer2010 said suppressants deffinatly help, and its worth a try using the fc2 condoms. Awkward at first using them tho haha
