Dull ache, twinges of tingles , valtrex dosage?

Recommended Posts

So my vage has simply not fully recovered from an ob that started in July. There is nothing there , no sore nothing. Everything has fully healed . Except I've had twinges of tingles , pinching , and a dull ache in that area intermittently since my sore has healed . It's almost November !!!! Has anyone experienced this ? I take 1gram of valtrax a day. Is 2 grams a day too much? Also take a pre natal, b complex , red marine algae (3/once a day) , and a probiotic , and zinc . Any thoughts ? Should I switch it up to 800mg 2x a day of generic acyclovir ? (Instead of once a day valtrex) I have a script for that too. I've had herpes about 3 years now . Last ob was small . 2 small pimples but has left me with this post pain that I've never had before . Thoughts ?/ similar experiences ?

Hi there,

Did you just get herpes recently? This kind of an experience is pretty common within the first year or so of first getting herpes. The body is putting its best foot forward so to say in creating antibodies and taking care of yourself from this new roommate you got.

Only way to know is a swab. Cuz u could have had hsv1 orally and never knew it so a blood test cant tell u where.

i dont think its nerve dammage.usually a good way to get nerve dammage is by using too much lydocain ointment or jelly directly on the sore for a long time....

maybe get a secind opinion from planned parenthood?
