I’m 36. I have been staying wit them since my Divorce. I have never liked keeping secrets from my parents. My dad has always been supportive of everything and anything my whole life. My mother is a whole other story

I sat my parents down to tell them about my diagnosis my dad and sister are supportive. My mom of course made me feel like shit and said she is disgusted by me and asked when I’m going to get my life together..... if my own mother can make me feel like this doesn’t give me much hope for anyone else

My PCP called with my blood results he confirmed what I already knew that I am positive for both hsv1 and hsv2. I just got over my 2nd outbreak but today the upper back parts of my legs are burning. I looked and don’t see anything. He wants me to take 1g valtrex for 7 days then start suppressive therapy once I’m done. 2 pills twice a day. I also asked if we can take blood work every few months to check if my Levels are dropping bc I plan on trying holistic methods for healing as well. He said levels don’t matter and don’t mean anything.... any advice or suggeStions?

I would like to know the answer to this as well as I juat hor ober my second outbreak 2 days ago and today my upper legs are on fire

I was just diagnosed last month and I feel the same way you do. This group has really helped me. I’m actually going to start herbal remedies and try and see if that works as I read it has for many people. I’m willing to try anything at this point to try and rid my body of this

Did she take any herbal remedies or medicines to help? Are you diagnosed as well? Or here for moral support?

So here is my story and please don’t judge. I had a friend wirh benefits for 2 years we hit s rough patch I began dating a guy down. Year that ended and me and my friend with benefits got back together... fast foward 2 months ago we hit another rough patch I was in my feelings one night and other guy called me to hangout so I did. We had def then the next g day friend with benefits calls to hang out we have sex. 2 days later I ask to see him again and he tells me he needs recouped from the 2 days before. Now this is embarrassing but at one point I was extremely dry but we pushed through anyway and o was on a lot of pain. So I asked him what he means and he said he had friction marks from the roughness. He said he wasn’t in pain or anything the friction marks were just there. The next day while showering I notice I have a blister. Which is when I went to urgi care. At this point I was told I had a cut that didn’t heal properly so I thought it was the rough sex so my friend and I don’t I he’s messing around oral sex.. and we were talking about the friction marks and he said it’s bappened to him on a few o. Asians normally when we are in arid bc our time is limited. He also said it happened to him when he was younger once. It has me thinking to when we first started. The first time I ever have him oral he said he got a lot of pain down there and was told rbT bc I was sick wirh a cold I passed my Infectionon to him. I at that point had gone to 3 doctors who told me that was impossible and all my teSt cane back negative. Doctor said there is no way I could have a bacterial infection in my throat and pass it to him. Um wondering if he is the one who gave it to me not knowing. I have spoken wirh the other guy and he is done he has not had any symptoms or mentioned anything to me. I did let him k ow I tested positive not sure I’d he went to get tested but I haven’t said anything to my fwb

My doctor hasn’t called me back in 2 weeks with my results so I looked them up my self. IGG for hsv1 was 6.31 and hsv2 was 23. My igm was negative. Anyone know what this means?

Igg hsv1 is 6.31 hsv2 is {24 igm is negative for both both test done some day

No. I don’t think here. I googled it and it says outbreaks tend to happen in the same spots. I honestly I’m my hearts of hearts don’t believe I have this unless I’m just in denial but my symptoms and stuff just add up

What affect does valtrex have on bloodwork? Also what does the western blot test do? And how long after being diagnosed should u wait to take it?

She only gave me for 5 days and that is bc I harassed her. She did not want to give them bc I had no symptoms. My primary did a second round of bloodwork 2 weeks ago but never called me. I called him 3 times hAve gotten no response. I would like another opinion but I guess I have to wait for a sore to appear?

I’m ot sure what to rbi k or if these is me reallY hoping my doctor is a moron and has not clue what she is talking about. I noticed a blister about a month ago went to urgi care they gave me a blood test called me 5 days later to say I have been exposed to the virus months ago and to see my gyno. I CALLES MT DOXTOR SHE SQUEEZES ME in the next day says it looks like a cyst but take a swab anyway calls me back 7 days later say it was positive for H and when I asked what I do now she says nothing didn’t put me on meds or anything. I ho to my primary explain the story to him he says it doesn’t make sense and sends me for blood work rbat was 2 weeks ago I have called him 3 time as well for results and I have not gotten a call back Fast foward 3 weeks later I was going through personal issues crying non stop an out break?? I had a pimple followed by 3 spots under it in a different location. I call my doctor to ask for meds they ask if im in pain or irritated I say no they said hold off it could b something else.... what else? So I call the next day again to ask for meds no cbk I call again at night for the on call doctor dinnalt agrees to call me in a script... I’ve been taking valtrex since Thursday the 3 red apots raw done but the pimple looking one is still there looks like it’s healong. I’m kinda new so I will probably be posting a million question... do our breaks tend to happen in the same spot? It is it different places every time? Can this maybe not be herpes? Or is it just me hoping and wishing?

I had one blister my first outbreak and just getting over my second one now I had 4 pimples although I sunnomif it was an out break bc it was in a different spot and my doctor said if it was an outbreak I would b in pain and I wasn’t. Have u tried talking to your doctor? Maybe it’s soemtning else? Or maybe they can change your medication?

How do you deal with rejection?
