Washing and passing herpes to other parts of your body?

Great site @Unbroken! I wonder, is it true though that it can't spread to your eyes? I thought it could. I worry because even though I obviously wash my hands after using the restroom and showering, I'm always touching my eyes!

I wear contacts. Im constantly touching my eyes, and rubbig sleep out of them.

ive jad h since jan and only been on suppressives for almost 2 months. And i havent passed it on to another part of my body yet.

Again, with the eyes, it's normally at the time of the initial infection, and most ocular herpes is children who got a cold sore and pick at it then pass it to the eyes. You should be fine :)

Unbroken is right - chill friend. The virus doesn't live very long outside the body... maybe in "perfect" conditions (like in a lab...where they have managed to get it to live for awhile, but the conditions have to be right ...warm and moist) but towels and toilet seats and snuggling with clothing on with your child and sharing baths and such are all fine :)
