Usually hsv1 genital has less o.b. and deffinatly less shedding. but i can tell u i have hsv2 genital and i have minor symptons, where as my friends bf has hsv1 genital and had a nightmare of an o.b. everyones body amd immune system is different tho, theres sometimes alot to take into consideration as far as symptons/prodromes and o.b s go.

How were u tested? A swab test is usually the most accurate, And as for blood tests, there is a chance it could have been a false positive. Denial is completely normal, just as @Jennie said, its part of the process. I was in complete denial for months beccause my only sympton was a tiny little sore smaller than a freckle! My first test was a swab in jan, possitive for hsv2. 2nd test was april, blood, negative. 3rd test was june, blood, possitive. You can always go back and get retested. Get a second opinion. If it is possitive, we will all be here for you to answer any questions u might have!!

I had a horrific time with throbbing pain, it was the vein just to the left of the clit. brutal and excrutiating! Lasted for 2 weeks ish. And i took multiple doses of naproxen to help. Did go to work for a week! My doc said iy was a sympton of herpes... or at least a prodrome. I.m.o. mrs h could quite figure out where she was going so she just attacked the nerve instead of surfacing to the skin. H isnt that smart haha

Valtrex can also be subscribed for coldsore as well as shingles. Not everyone knows what you are using it for!

Dont take the other 6 meds! What you can do.. is take the meds when u feel it comming on, it may be a tingle an itch a bit of soreness. And what the meds do is just to help it stay in the nerve rather than totally surgacing. So if u take the meds while uvhave an o.b. it mihht onlu help the severity, gotta let nature take its course..

Double up on ur meds!!!!

As awkward as it sounds, u could try sitting on the toilet, and poor water drom a water bottle while u pee, just sou dont have to have a shower everytime?

I think it depends on your connectng wth the partner in question. maybe u really like an h- person... and maybe the h+ person u meet has nothing in commen with you except for herpes.. in which case .. why bother?

I think mr h shoulda bought u a ring instead... how insensitive! As for whitlow... ive never experienced it.. i think doing similar activities as u would for genital? Maybe soak your hand in espom salt warm water in a littlw bucket/bowl. even maybe put a bandage over it so u dont infect the other fingers?

Well... some areas do have legallities towards disclosing herpes... i.m.o. you should disclose.
