Mine aren't blood blisters Look like mosquito bites I have had sex and received oral with hsv- people when I was positive I was contagious (of course disclosed that we went ahead anyway) and they never got it. I can't figure IT out. Anyway trying to get on with life.

So I was off Antivirals and I gt some bumps swore were herpes on calf. No fluid bc none of mine have. Put steroid cream and went away. I think I have other stuff going on. Maybe not everything I have is hsv1. I have 30 negative swabs to prove it. I can't get a positive awab and I have given up trying to get one. I am not as worried giving this anymore it's more getting something worse.

I agree. I think they can't be bothered in general. They don't see the point or feel condom protects them. I know that's not true but I don't want to harp on everything. I just want the damn papers. My last partner tested no problem. But we had a close relationship as friends. So it wasn't seen as an insult. This partner I don't know as well. Ah maybe I should just forget about dating.

I have never done casual hook ups. Always knew the people well and never asked for results until after hsv1. I trusted all these men. Knew them pretty well before sex or sex play. This guy I just met. I brought it up again tonight bc I am so damn horny I want sex soon. So I pushed a discussion on it again and I know he wants sex too. But Jesus this test paper thing sucks but I can't get around it. Hiv or hepatitis and hsv2 is what I am worried about. I am thinking if I wanted to have sex and someone asked me I would run to get results and have sex that day. This is more of a beginning relationship thing not committed sex yet but gettin there. Definitely not a hook up. We have been dating briefly and talking and texting lots but attraction is insane for both. It's just if one night I am weak and give in I want to know I have te results plus I love giving oral and I can't without papers. Who wants a blow with a condom?! This new guy I am seeing i asked him to get tested. He said he did in November. I just asked if he would retest and I would too and we can exhamge results. I know it's cold and weird but I met him on line and I don't know him from Adam. He is curious why I am so paranoid about it. I said bc I have children and chronic fatigue (disclosed my hsv1 status already) which is just ridiculous bc I haven't been diagnosed. Anyway, I am insisting on seeing results before sex. Is that weird? Anyone do that? How the hell do people hook up anymore? Or even trust enough to have sex? I have 3 kids and not the greatest health. I don't want anything else. Can anyone share their experience. I just feel sooo uncomfortable. Like I am being a hard ass about it.

I have ghsv1....I think lol Anyway I am super paranoid now bc I realize how easy it is to get this stuff. Paranoid about hiv, hepatitis, hsv2....my body hasn't reacted the best to Hsv1 Anyone else feel this way...like yes I disclose but what if they don't? What if they don't test or say they test and really don't? When I read these posts of hook ups it makes me think God...how does anyone have casual sex?

I think it's foliculitis But virus is generally only present with fluid or within 48 hours of onset. Virus usually dies on a lesion after that period. You should awab next time it appears just to be sure.

Sure. She told me about being off antivirals. It depends how long you were taking it. If you were only taking antivirals a short time it shouldn't impact it. If you were taking it months than it may. If you weren't taking antivirals long and your blood test was after 6 months post exposure. Your result is conclusive.

Western blot is the most reliable test but it is recommended you are off antivirals for a longer period of time than two weeks because this can skew the blood result as there is an opinion that taking Antivirals delays the production of antibodies. These antibodies are detected in your blood for a positive or negative result. Generally it should be 6 months passed your last exposure to do the test and I think they say antivirals shouldn't be taken for three months. Pcr looks for actual genetic components of herpes. You won't find those in blood. That's why I think it's coming undetectable. Best bet is for u to search on Terri warren's westover heights website. They might have sthng there on it. As well u can pay $20 to ask anonymous on line questions.

Yes I believe the pcr test is the wrong blood test. I believe it looks for the actual virus in the blood which u won't find bc the virus is in the nerves. Blood tests are used to confirm antibodies not the blood itself. Try doing another blood test....it should say positive. I believe pcr blood test is an incorrect test.

Pcr in blood is an incorrect test. Pcr in blood is only to detect if it's disseminated or systemic. You need to do a regular igg herpes blood test like Elisa or inmunoblot. Have dancer confirm. Pcr tests are only good for swabs. Yes the thought by experts if while on valtrex you may not build antibodies to detect on blood tests. I believe you need to be without Antivirals for 3 months before you have a reliable test. So basically you don't have any confirmation of what you have hsv1 or hsv2?

Hard to say. Steroid cream should make herpes worse. Oragel should help if it's herpes. Don't worry about it until it appears again then get a swab of it and then u will know. Don't do a viral culture do a pcr swab which is more sensitiv. Good luck

They blisters didn't itch themselves no. Sometimes they just came or sometimes because my hands were dry. Sometimes it itches before it came. But it was eczema I can guarantee. So it is possible for it to be other things. Dermatitis can also cause it. Sometimes seeinn what solution works might help you figure out what it is: Steroid cream or how about sthng like the oragel on it for cold sores. Does that help? Either way it looks really harmless. U can order swabs from westover heights to swab for hwrpes if u want. That way u know for sure.

I have blisters on my hands suffered for years from eczema. Eczema leaves sometimes bumps that have fluid in them. The fluid can be clear yellowish. So it can be eczema. Try some steroid or cortisone cream on them and see if it helps. Of course ask yor doc for prescription otherwise there are mild steroid creams Otc

I hate to say it but if you are looking for a doctor to acknowledge your issues are from h it's going to be really difficult. I have been to many and many include specialists....they don't listen and don't believe h could cause these shmptoms. I couldn't pee properly for months. I hate to sit on the toilet and just wait. Most went away after 10 months. I had and still have a horrible case too. Good luck

Only had one lesion which is atypical and never swabbed it. I get lots of prodome daily and red tiny bumps that I have swabbed negative. It's exhausting and it has contributed to some depression as well as other reasons. I can't seem to get in a good place emotionally for long. But no one has said I have an autoimmune disease. I have seen so many specialists. Thought maybe it wS lupus but they say no.
