  1. @littlestar yeah, this past month i've been super depressed and anxious. I have been paying attention to what I eat and if that is the cause, but I think like you, it might be my emotions that do the most damage! I'm not on daily suppressives, but wonder if I should get on them. How often do you get OBs?
  2. Even though I started my treatment as soon as I saw the blister, I should still stay away from foods that might make it worse tho right?... I guess that's kind of a dumb question lol. I think I'm about to start my lady days so I am craving all sorts of bad food. k thanks!
  3. 3rd outbreak...must be stress. I didn't recognize the symptoms soon enough and found a itty bitty blister last night. Had been feeling itchy the past 3 days, but thought it might be another yeast infection. Now I know better. Next itch I feel, I'll make sure to get on my meds lol. Luckily it is very mild. My last outbreak was very mild too, didn't bother me much. Before I found my blister, I had hot chocolate and today knowing I was having another OB, I ate pizza :/. I was super hesitant, but I was starving and my only two options at school were fried chicken or pizza lol. Will it still make it worse even tho I am taking acyclovir? or will acyclovir prevent that. Usually I eat a lot of oatmeal, eggs, chicken and salads.
  4. Hooray!Congratulations:). This is very inspiring.
  5. Yeah I know I'm positive, but I thought I had read somewhere that depending how high the number is it can sorta tell you how long you might have had it for? @2legit2quit @wcsdancer2010 or did I misunderstand. Yeah I got swabbed so def HSV2 pos
  6. Doctor told me a yeast infection does not, but perhaps the antibiotics do affect it. I didn't ask about that tho!
  7. I heard herpes doesn't affect your menstrual cycle. My cycle did get a lil funky, but I had been dealing with yeast infections also and stressing over school and my new diagnosis probably didn't help.
  8. HSV 1 IGG TYPE SPECIFIC AB <0.90 Notes: [EN] HSV 2 IGG TYPE SPECIFIC AB 3.07 Notes: Value Interpretation ----- -------------- <0.90 Negative 0.90-1.10 Equivocal >1.10 Positive This assay utilizes recombinant type-specific antigens to differentiate HSV-1 from HSV-2 infections. A positive result cannot distinguish between recent and past infection. If recent HSV infection is suspected but the results are negative or equivocal, the assay should be repeated in 4-6 weeks. The performance characteristics of the assay have not been established for pediatric populations, immunocompromised patients, or neonatal screening.
  9. hmm... @2legit2quit when I tested positive I never saw my numbers. I didn't realize they can give you an idea of how long you've had it for. I should check that out.
  10. hey tip on trimming with scissors, use a fine tooth comb to have a barrier between the scissors and skin! Even before H, I've been scared of cutting myself so I trim this way!
  11. @starsinhereyes :') First of all, congratulations on your engagement!!! Thank you for sharing your story. It gives me hope! Your response couldn't have come at a better time, since I am currently dealing with a broken heart/ego/soul lol. I look forward to the day I can post my successful love story:D.
  12. Oh what a relief! lol I was really worried about that. Now I can go have some fun..jk.#single lol. Thanks for clarifying that.
  13. @2legit2quit My doctor told me that although it is rare, HSV 2 can be transmitted through oral sex?
  14. yeah, your period could be trigger. Do you have acyclovir on hand?
  15. @2legit2quit Yeah, that's why I don't want to take diflucan anymore. I've had more problems with this yeast infection than i've had with herpes lol >.< My doctor suggested I try boric acid. I will definitely go buy some acidophilus tomorrow! @whitedaisies
  16. I was sexually active a little over a week now, but that's over now. I saw an old comment of yours where you mentioned that latex condoms can cause yeast infections? We usually didn't use protection, but we had been this past month because of my yeast infection. Yeah I feel like the diflucan hasn't done crap for me. I heard if you keep taking it, it can make the yeast infection resilient. Yeah I was thinking of trying monistat again. I was drinking Kefir, but haven't been consistent.
  17. I got my first yeast infection only a few weeks before I got diagnosed with HSV2. I know everyone tells me they aren't related, but it seems like ever since getting herpes I have this problem with yeast infections. I've cut back on sugar already and it doesn't seem to help. I've been drinking apple cider vinegar also. Thanks, I'll try the acidophilus for sure! :)
